Three people who were involved in a peaceful anti-government protest in Havanna have now been detained for more than seven weeks without charge. Amnesty International considers them to be prisoners of conscience, detained solely for peacefully exercising their right to freedom of expression.

Cuba: Further information: Activists held without charge
Human rights activists Ivonne Malleza Galano and her husband Ignacio Martínez Montejo continue to be held without charge since their arrest on 30 November. They were detained for staging a peaceful demonstration in a park in Havana City, Cuba.
